LaSalle Metra Station
METRA is a commuter railroad system serving the Chicago metropolitan area. The railroad operates 241 stations on 11 different rail lines. It is the fourth busiest commuter rail system in the United States by ridership and the largest and busiest commuter rail system outside the New York City metropolitan area.
As part of this massive system, LaSalle Street Station is one of the largest intercity rail terminals in the city of Chicago. Under a program implemented by METRA aimed at improving the safety and security of its riders, employees and the general public, LiveWire was involved in the installation of over 200 surveillance cameras and associated equipment throughout the eight (8) train platforms and the terminal building, which is also a part of the Chicago Stock Exchange.
